Part of our Mortality Screening Solution is matching customer data against standard industry deceased data sources - we use the most accurate sources of data in the UK.
In September 2008 GRO launched their new DDRI data which covers all of the UK. This is released weekly, so is the most up to date in the market. This data provides a much more accurate match than previously as it includes address information as well as name and date of birth of the deceased.

Presently there is a data gap between March 2007 to September 2008. We are championing GRO to release this data to the market as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we use additional data sources including HALO and Mortascreen amongst others to accurately check customers data.
Mortality data matching is a science and is not as black and white as you might imagine. Our forensic tracing team deals with data anomalies to ensure that we achieve the best results possible and where there is doubt about the status of a customer, we call upon other industry data sources to verify our results.
In the Life & Pensions sector, some of our customers cease pension payments immediately on receiving data results. However, most will firstly follow through with a verification process to positively corroborate the status of their clients.
